Mrs. Cleo Mann Tippitt, 99, of Fairfield Bay, formerly of Prescott, died Sunday, May 4, 2008, in Ozark Health and Medical Center, Clinton. She was born May 1, 1909 in Prescott, to Ronnie Joseph and Leola Edwards Mann. She was a nurse. She was a member of the Church of Christ of Prescott. She was an original Rosie The Riveter. Her church work, family, and nursing were important to her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hermon Curtis Tippitt Sr.; one son, Herman C. Tippitt Jr.; twin brothers, Leo and Lonnie Mann; two sisters, Vera Mann Odum and Kitty Sue Mann Ellis.

Her survivors include two daughters, Jacquelyn Ann Tippitt Butler and Hody of Dallas, Texas and Carolyn Mann Tippitt Wahlquist of Greers Ferry; one half sister, Sue Laverne Baskin of McNeil; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and six nieces and nephews.

The funeral service was at 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 6, at Brazzle/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott, with Elder William Wayne Butch Ellis officiating. The burial was in DeAnn Cemetery in Prescott. Arrangements were by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.
