Mr. Tony Lynn Stroud, 50, of Blevins, formerly of Hope, died Saturday, May 10, at his home.

He was born on Oct. 29, 1957, in Hope to Chester Lester Vic and G. Jean Brown Stroud. He was a self-employed painter. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church of Hope.

He was preceded in death by his father, C.L. Vic Stroud.

His survivors include his wife, Melanie Morrow Stroud of Blevins; one son, Caden Lynn Stroud of Blevins; his mother, Jean Stroud of Emmet; one brother, Howard Lester Stroud and Toni of Centerton; one sister, Vicki Jean Stroud Carlton and Ronnie of Emmet; two aunts, Lola Golden and Gladys Stroud, both of Hope; and several cousins.

The funeral service was at 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 13, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel of Hope, with Rev. Jerry Thomas and Mr. Jerry Stroud officiating. Burial was in Bright Star Cemetery in Hempstead County. Arrangements were by Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home of Hope.

The family received friends Monday, May 13, from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home of Hope.
