Don BuchananPublished Wednesday, May 14, 2008 in the Nevada County PicayuneDon Buchanan, 63, of Texarkana, died Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at his home. He was born Jan. 18, 1945, in Prescott. Don was an employee of the Union Pacific Railroad for 40 years and attended Moores Lane First Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Becky Payne Buchanan; two sons, Tony Buchanan and wife, Patty of Pottsboro, Texas, and Bobby Buchanan and wife, Susan of Texarkana, Texas; one sister, Debbie Ware and husband, Jerry of Little Rock; four grandchildren, Justin, Timothy, Brittney and Jake Buchanan; two nieces, Mindy Ware and Shay Garner; and one maternal aunt, Imogene Marlar of Texarkana. Don was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Irene Buchanan. Pallbearers include Wayne Ashbrook, Tim Ashbrook, Danny Ashbrook, Mike Studebaker, Ron Kennedy, Jerry Ware, Mike Payne and Randy Garner. The funeral service was at 10 a.m., Friday, May 9, at East Funeral Home Chapel, 2807 Moores Lane in Texarkana with Rev. Neal Ridling officiating. Interment was at the Missionary Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Prescott. Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, May 8 at East Funeral Home Moores Lane. Memorials may be made to Water Springs Ranch, 7707 Sanderson Lane, Texarkana, AR 71854.
