TOURNAMENT RECAP

Here is a recap of the tournament, which was played at Gurdon. On each night the tourney began with a girls game and then it alternated-girls, boys, girls, boys.

Wednesday, Feb. 24-

Caddo Hills beat Genoa Central in the first game, 49-38; Stephens stomped Mineral Springs, 94-52; Centerpoint eliminated Stephens, 65-57; and Mount Ida stopped Genoa, 59-38.

Thursday, Feb. 25-

Nevada took out Dierks, 67-48; Centerpoint eliminated Nevada, 79-70; Horatio stopped Gurdon, 60-47; and Gurdon advanced by defeating Dierks, 78-46.

Friday, Feb. 26-

In the semi-finals Caddo Hills took out Nevada; Stephens crushed Centerpoint; Horatio defeated Centerpoint; and Gurdon went to the finals with a 77-62 victory over Mount Ida.

Saturday, Feb. 27-

Caddo Hills won the girls' bracket with a 62-60 win over Horatio in a game that was tied just seconds before it ended.

In the other championship game Stephens handled Gurdon, 69-48.
