A Bragg City man was killed Sunday, May 4, when the four-wheeler he was driving flipped.

Timothy McDore, 30, was riding with a group of others on Nevada County 27 with several other riders when the accident occurred. According to a report from the Nevada County Sheriffs Office, a 911 call came in just after 6 p.m. NCSO Deputy Robert Missey said officers responded along with the Nevada County Ambulance Service. According to Missey, McDores white Yamaha Banshee flipped end-over-end. He was then transported to Ouachita Medical Center in Camden where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Missey said McDore was not wearing a helmet or any other riding safety gear at the time of the accident. No one was cited in connection with the accident.

Missey said there is an increase in four-wheelers riding in inappropriate locations around the county.

People need to know that its illegal to ride a four-wheeler on a public street, Missey said. And a county road is a public street.

Four-wheelers are, by manufacture standards, meant for off-road travel.
