Katie Lou SpradlinPublished Wednesday, May 14, 2008 in the Gurdon TimesKatie Lou Sissy Spradlin, age 80 of Gurdon, died Wednesday, April 03, 2008, in Little Rock. She was born April 29, 1928, in Okolona, the daughter of John Wiloey and Carrie Mae Crow Spradlin. She was a retired nurse and a member of the Smyrna United Methodist Church. Survivors include two sons, Jackie Yancey of Cabot and Jerry Yancey of Woodville, Texas; six grandchildren and a host of great and great-great grandchildren. Funeral services were held May 3 at 2 p.m. in the Smyra United Methodist Church with Pastor David Owens officiating. Burial was in the Smyrna Cemetery. Visitation was Friday, May 2, from 6-8 p.m. at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia.
