CMS students qualify for Duke University TIPPublished Wednesday, April 30, 2008 in the Gurdon TimesCabe Middle School students Terry Franklin, Hannah Jones and Dylan Watson qualified for the Duke University Talent Identification Program state recognition ceremonies. They have been invited to attend the state ceremony at the University of Arkansas in Little Rock on May 15. Watson also qualified for and is invited to attend the grand recognition ceremony at Duke University. The Talent Search identifies academically talented seventh graders based on standardized test scores achieved while attending elementary or middle school. Candidates are identified and invited to complete either the SAT Reasoning Test or the ACT Assessment college entrance examination. Duke TIP then provides the participants with comparative information concerning their academic abilities and resources for unique educational opportunities. Other seventh graders qualifying for the talent search program were Dustin Simpson, Dakota Crews and Tyler Burns. Search | Nevada County Picayune by date | Gurdon Times by date |
