The members and pastor of Carrie Street Church of God will host a youth revival on May 5-7 at 7 p.m. nightly. Rev. Ivory Curry is the pastor and everyone is welcome to come and be blessed.

The Faith Gospel Singers of Prescott will celebrate their 12th anniversary on May 2 at 7 p.m. and May 3 at 6:30 p.m. at Faith Temple Church of God in Christ. All groups, choirs, soloists and everyone are welcome. Sister Anita Jones is president, and Elder Leroy Sworn is pastor.

Annual mission and womens day program will be Sunday, May 4, at New Mt. Zion Baptist Church at 2:30 p.m. Everyone and all churches are welcome. Special guest will be Green Hill A.M.E. Church of Blevins, with Rev. Bettye Gulley pastor and speaker, Mt. Friendship choir of Curtis, Rev. Louis Jones, pastor, Sister Vernessia Russey, president, Sister Evangeline Williams, vice president. Rev. William Colbert is pastor.

The children of Ruby L. Allen of Curtis celebrated their mothers 75th birthday at Family Enrichment Center in Arkadelphia on April 12 with a banquet dinner. Out-of-town relatives and friends attending were Mr. and Mrs. Henry C. Hawthorne of Frisco, Texas, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Mays and daughter Georgia, Mr. and Mrs. Vence Lieu, Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie Williams and son, Rosie V. Smith, Gennie B. Leeper, all of St. Louis, Mo.; Elmer Leeper of Milwaukee, Wis.; Eloise Mays of Pomona, Calif.; Burna D. Purifoy and friend of Bluff City, Henryetta Thornton of Arkadelphia; Audry Sims, Marsha Danner, Minister Bessie Rogers, Frederick Hatley, Quantia Cunningham, Arletha L. McCelland, Herman Quarles, Jr., Mildred Anderson, Clester Stephens, Minister Bertha Holliman, Minister Sharon Bell, Jerine Hatley, Minister Wanda Eason, all of Gurdon; Dorothy Leeper, Artie M. Leeper, Rev. and Sister Henry Bell, Demetria Allen, Mr. and Mrs. Nate Leeper, Elder and Sister Eddie Bailey, Mr. and Mrs. Shaunta Bailey, all of Curtis.; Sheree Hendrix and guest speaker, Bro. Bernard Hatley of Gurdon; Albertha Young and friend Gulius McIntosh of Hot Springs; Vivian Rhinehart of Benton; Sheila Briggs, Freda Tate, Snowder Deloach, John, Lesia Todd; Shelia Forte of Dallas and daughter Lasaka and children; Dennis and June Allen, Glyness Jones, Twanna Allen and grandchildren, all of whom celebrated this birthday occasion. It was wonderful, and we all thank you. Any name that didnt appear in this report will continue next time.

Hatley Family Reunion will be held May 5 at 6 p.m. at New Mt. Zion Baptist Church. All family members are asked to please be present because there is unfinished business to be completed. The Hatley family is expecting you. Rev. William Colbert is pastor.

Artie Mae Leeper McCellands sisters and brother visited her and sister Dorothy Leeper and other relatives and friends in Curtis last week. Mr. and Mrs. Vence Lieu, Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie Williams and son, Rosie V. Smith and Gennie B. Leeper, all of St. Louis, visited their brother Elmer Leeper of Milwaukee, Wis. They had a wonderful family get-together.

Mattie Sue Hatley of Arkadelphia passed away Thursday night, April 24. Funeral arrangement is incomplete at this report.

Mothers Night Outa night to honor our mothers, will be on May 3 at Gurdon Municipal Building at 103 Maple St. Featured guests will be Sister Tijuana Gratham, Sister Stephanie Radford, Minister Bessie Rogers, Minister Lesa Simpson, Sister Brenda Piggee and Bro. and Sis. House. A Hat Show will be presented by Sis. Shelia Freierson of Marshall, Texas, and dinner will be served. Tickets are $5.
