Jimmy Ray StephensPublished Wednesday, April 30, 2008 in the Gurdon TimesJimmy Ray Stephens, age 63, of Gurdon, died on April 24, 2008, at Texarkana. He was born on Dec. 27, 1944, in Gurdon, and was in trucking and construction work. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Gurdon and an Air Force veteran. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents: Paul H. Stephens and Faye Lorene Marshall, and his wife Deborah Nolan Stephens. He is survived by a daughter Rebecca Stephens of Ashdown and a brother Phillip W. Stephens of Ft. Smith and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be on May 3, 2008 at First Baptist Church in Gurdon at10:30 a.m. with Phillip Brown officiating, under the direction of Pharr Funeral Home.
