Wanda Wicker

Mrs. Wanda Faye Ingersoll Wicker, 79, of Prescott, Caney Community, died after a lengthy illness, Saturday, April 26, 2008, at her home in Caney.

She was born on Jan. 3, 1929, in Nevada County, to Oliver Terrell and Mary Ellen Francisco Ingersoll. She was a homemaker and poultry farmer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie L. Wicker; one son, Kennthe Wicker; five brothers, A.A. Rip, Houston, Earl, O.T. Jr. and Bobby Ingersoll; and by three sisters, Nellie McVay, Ruby Rhoads and Una Mae Caple.

Her survivors include three sons, Stephen Wicker of Prescott, David Wicker and Rhonda of Houston, Texas, and Russell G. Wicker and Crystal of Norman, Okla.; two daughters, Shirley Hendrix and Bobby and Evelyn Wicker, all of Murray, Ky.; and two sisters, Mildred Johnson of Boughton and Rosa Belle Orren of Prescott; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral services will at 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 29, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott, with Rev. Raymond Hicks officiating. The burial was in Caney Cemetery in Caney. Arrangements were by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
