William J. HendryPublished Wednesday, April 30, 2008 in the Nevada County PicayuneMr. William J. Dick Hendry, 78, of Prescott, died Friday, April 11, 2008, at his home. He was born March 7, 1930 in Fort Myers, Fla. to Emmett Judson and Georgia Belle Gatlin Hendry. He was retired from both the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Air Force with over 20 years of service. He was a Mason with the Prescott Lodge. He was preceded in death by his wife, June Crow Hendry, who died in 1994. His survivors include one son, Dickie Hendry and Lynn of Nashville; one daughter, Ginger Raber of Ft. Myers, Fla.; one brother, A. F. Hendry and Chris of Ft. Myers, Fla.; four grandchildren, Jarod Hendry and Stephanie of Nashville, Paige Tate and John of Hot Springs, Joel and Jenna Hendry, both of Nashville; and two great-grandchildren, Kristen and Klaire of Nashville. A military graveside service was at 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 15, at Bethel Cemetery in Blevins, with Chaplain Sean E. Randall officiating. Burial followed. Arrangements were by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott. The family received friends Monday, April 14, from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.
