George Budd

Mr. George Edmund Budd, 85, of Rosston, died Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at Medical Park Hospital in Hope.

He was born on June 7, 1922, in Mt. Vernon, Ohio, to Edmund Skinner and Helen Irene Collins Budd. He was a retired field service engineer with Cooper Bessemer. He was a unique creative man that was truly one of a kind. He was a man of countless God given gifts and talents, mans friend and devoted husband and father.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Barbara Ellen Wright and one daughter, Mary Kathryn Holloway.

His survivors include two sons, David Budd and Tauna of Rosston and John Budd and Jeanne of Tulsa, Okla.; one daughter, Virginia Green of Houston, Texas; one sister, Nancy Jean Edick of Mt. Vernon, Ohio; a special friend, Betty Caruthers of Prescott; nine grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

The memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 3, at Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church in Dallas, Texas, with Dr. Blair R. Monie officiating. Arrangements were by Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home of Hope.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Texarkana, 803 Spruce St., Texarkana, Texas, 75501.

William J. Hendry

Mr. William J. Dick Hendry, 78, of Prescott, died Friday, April 11, 2008, at his home.

He was born March 7, 1930 in Fort Myers, Fla. to Emmett Judson and Georgia Belle Gatlin Hendry. He was retired from both the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Air Force with over 20 years of service. He was a Mason with the Prescott Lodge.

He was preceded in death by his wife, June Crow Hendry, who died in 1994.

His survivors include one son, Dickie Hendry and Lynn of Nashville; one daughter, Ginger Raber of Ft. Myers, Fla.; one brother, A. F. Hendry and Chris of Ft. Myers, Fla.; four grandchildren, Jarod Hendry and Stephanie of Nashville, Paige Tate and John of Hot Springs, Joel and Jenna Hendry, both of Nashville; and two great-grandchildren, Kristen and Klaire of Nashville.

A military graveside service was at 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 15, at Bethel Cemetery in Blevins, with Chaplain Sean E. Randall officiating. Burial followed. Arrangements were by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.

The family received friends Monday, April 14, from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.
