Eunice WhitmarshPublished Wednesday, April 23, 2008 in the Nevada County PicayuneMrs. Eunice L. Whitmarsh, 96, of Arkadelphia, formerly of Prescott, died Saturday, April 19, in Twin Rivers Health and Rehab in Arkadelphia. She was born on Feb. 28, 1912, in Murfreesboro to Flan and Mary Stuart. She was raised in Toki, by Belle and Samuel Huddleson. She was a homemaker. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Prescott. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Whitmarsh; her parents; one aunt and uncle, who were like her parents; one son, Thomas L. Whitmarsh; one son-in-law, Joe Parker; two brothers and two sisters. Her survivors include one son, Glenn Whitmarsh and Linda of Hope; one daughters, Sherry Parker of Arkadelphia; one daughter-in-law, Cora Whitmarsh of Dennison, Texas; six grandchildren, Steven Whitmarsh and Kelly Key, both of Hope, Dana Lattie of Hot Springs, Jay Horton of Little Rock, Vicky Oden of Dennison, Texas, and Mike Whitmarsh of Fort Worth, Texas; nine great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. The funeral service was at 3 p.m., Sunday, April 20, at First United Methodist Church in Prescott, with Rev. Joe Miller officiating. Burial was in DeAnn Cemetery in Prescott. Arrangements were by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott. The family received friends Saturday, April 19, from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.
