Community NewsJerine HatleyPublished Wednesday, April 16, 2008 in the Gurdon Times The officers and members of Carrie Street Church of God will celebrate the 11th pastors anniversary of Rev. Ivory Curry and wife on April 20 at 3 p.m. Everyone is invited to come and participate in this joyous occasion. The Chidester Community Choir will celebrate its 16th anniversary on Sat., April 19, at 7 p.m. and Sun., April 20, at 6 p.m. at First Union Baptist Church near Camden.. All choirs, groups and soloists are welcome. Rev. Frank Dunn is pastor. The Newbrain Gospel Singers will celebrate their first anniversary at St. John Baptist Church in Bluff City on Sun., April 20, at 3 p.m. Everyone and all groups, choirs, soloists are welcome. Rev. James F. Williams is pastor. Spring revival services will be at New Mt. Zion Baptist Church on April 21-23 at 7:30 p.m. Evangelist is Rev. Charles Young, pastor of the Sweet Home Baptist Church near Prescott. Rev. William Colbert is pastor, and everyone is welcome. Annual Mission Program at New Mt. Zion Baptist Church will be on Sun., May 4, at 2:30 p.m. Sister Vernissia Russey is president, Rev. William Colbert pastor, and special guest will be Green Hill A.M.E. Church of Blevins, Betty Gulley pastor and speaker. Hatley Family Reunion meeting will be on May 5 at 6 p.m. at New Mt. Zion Baptist Church. We ask that all members please be present.
