Just a Thought

We are living in a time where promises don't mean as much as they once did. It has not been to long since a person would be taken at their word and if they promised they would do something, they did it. Once upon a time a handshake was as good as any contract ever written and now it seems that even a signed contract doesn't provide any accountability or security. While men have lost most credibility in this world I want to assure that God has not, if the Bible says it you can still put all your confidence in what is promised to come to pass.

1 Corinthians chapter 1, verse 20 says, "For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us." God promised Abraham to make him a great nation and today the nation of Israel still stands and there are Jewish people all over the world who are a testament to God's promise to one man thousands of years ago. God promised a Savior and Jesus came and fulfilled that promise. Then He promised to send a Helper and the Holy Spirit came on the day of Pentecost around 2,000 years ago and is still working in the hearts and lives of millions of people today.

Don't pray for a promise, read the promises God has already given in the Word. God's precious word in the Bible contains every promise you need to know. Simply trust Him to do what He has already said He would. It's just a thought . . .but it could change your life.
