Rev. James Forte

Rev. James Earl Forte, 52, of Little Rock, passed from this earth to his new heavenly home on Sunday, March 30, 2008, in the presence of his family.

He was the son of the late James Forte and Mattie Forte of Sweet Home. He was the pastor of the Union Grove Baptist Church in Bluff City.

James is survived by his wife, Claudine Forte of Little Rock; daughter, Tamieka Forte-Daniels and Anthony of Little Rock; and one son, James Dexter Forte of Little Rock; two grandchildren, Madison and Nicholas Daniels; and a loving mother, Mattie Forte of Sweet Home. Others he leaves to celebrate his memories are four brothers, five sisters, and a brother-in-law. He also leaves one uncle, five aunts, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A celebration of life service was held at the Union Grove Baptist Church of Bluff City on Friday, April 4, from 5-7 p.m.

The final home going service was held Saturday, April 5 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Higgins with Rev. Michael Payne officiating.
