Bertie Ward

Bertie Ann Green Ward, 91, of Texarkana, Arkansas, died Saturday, March 29, 2008, in a local hospital.

Mrs. Ward was born Jan. 31, 1917 in Winthrop and had lived in Texarkana for most of her life.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Charles Ward; her son, Charles H. Ward, and a grandson, James Barney Ward.

She is survived by one daughter, Kay Stuart, of Texarkana; three grandchildren, Randy Stuart, of Camden, Chuck Stuart, of Ashdown and Tina Martin, of Hope and five great grandchildren.

Graveside services were 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 1 at East Memorial Gardens with Dr. John Cannon and Jasper Howard officiating. Services are under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas.

Memorials can be made to the Walnut Church of Christ Building Fund at 2720 Moores Lane, Texarkana, Texas, 75503.

Visitation will be from 6-7:30 p.m. Monday, March 31 at Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas.
