Gurdon residents to get 'head start' on childcare

A child must be four years old or turn three years old on or before Sept. 15, 2008, and a two person household must make less than $1,517 per month to qualify for this program. For each additional family member, add $390 to the monthly income to determine eligibility. Verification of family income, childs birth certificate and immunization records are required to complete an application.

CADC Head Start is a free comprehensive child and family development program for low-income families. The main focus is to increase the school readiness of young children. It is designed to help parents and caregivers be empowered to self sufficiency. Children enrolled have access to educational resources, as well as health and dental services, nutritional services, and social services.
