Melba B. Webb

Melba Ruth Creech Badeaux Webb, 77, of Gurdon, died March 30, 2008, at St. Josephs Mercy Health Center in Hot Springs.

She was born July 13, 1930, in Taylor, the daughter of the late Luther Alfred and Ruth Acuff

Creech.

She was a homemaker and a charter member of Bethlehem Baptist Church of Gurdon, and played the piano at the church for many years.

She was preceded in death by her first husband T.A. Badeaux; her second husband Eugene Webb; two sons, Dennie and David Badeaux; and two sisters.

Survivors include: Three sons, Douglas Badeaux of Kennewick, Wash., Don Badeaux of Lavaca and Daniel Badeaux of Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.; five daughters, Ann Baumgardner of Gurdon, Teresa Higginbotham of Arkadelphia, Judy Lowrance of Cedarville, Sarah Dickey of Gurdon and Faye Scott of Norman; one sister; Becky Cogbill of Hope; 19 grandchildren, 22 step-grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, 46 step-great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

The funeral was held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Bethlehem Baptist Church with Rev. Lloyd Baumgardner, Rev. Maurice Dickey, Rev. Doug Higginbotham and Rev. T.R. Lowrance officiating.

Burial was in Bluff City Cemetery under the direction of Welch Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Ricky Powell, Wesley Sparks, Jeff Ryan, Masion Hobbs, Mac Purdy and Donnie Badeaux. Honorary pallbearers were Joey Fisher, Ryan Hooks, Troy Hooks and Jimmy Cogbill.
