Just a thought

How do you feel about going to church? If you attend regularly I hope your answer is a positive answer. Time was that most folks went to church, it wasn't a question that was even asked. But today in our busy world it seems that church is likely to be something we do if there is nothing else going on. I want to encourage you today to remember the reasons why we need the church and more than that why we need a church family.

In First Corinthians chapter 12, Paul addresses the issue of the church being like a body. In his discussion we find how each part of the body needs the rest of the body: "if the whole body were an eye, where would be the hearing?" Paul's whole point is that we need each other and the church is a great place to find people who care about you and your life. If one has a problem it is the problem of all, and if one rejoices in a victory we all rejoice.

Friend let me encourage you, go back to church, find a new church or if you have never gone get started as soon as possible. No person can stand alone, you need someone to walk through life with you and so far the best option I have found is a church full of people who understand that we need to love God and love each other. It's just a thought . . .but it could change your life.
