Donnie DouganPublished Wednesday, March 26, 2008 in the Gurdon TimesDonnie "D.J." Dougan, Jr., age 36, of Prescott, Ark., went to heaven on Monday, March 17, 2008, in Prescott. He was born on Sept. 17, 1971, in Nevada County, Ark., to Donnie Joe Dougan, Sr. and Leigh Billingsley Dougan. He attended Parkers Chapel High School in El Dorado and then graduated from Emmet High School. Donnie was an employee at Klipsch in Hope and was a former employee of Meyers Bakery in Hope. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Gurdon and was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Oscar Dougan and his maternal grandfather, Glenn Billingsley. Survivors include: two sons, Alex and Brady and one daughter, Raegan, all of Prescott; his father Donnie J., Sr., also of Prescott and mother Leigh B. Glass and Joe of El Dorado; one sister Melissa Glass Washburn of Cabot; a paternal grandmother Beatrice Dougan of Prescott and a maternal grandmother Julia Beardsley of El Dorado; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 22, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Farris officiating, and burial followed at Piney Grove Cemetery in Boughton.
