Roger Bennett

Mr. Roger D. Bennett, 86, of Hope, died Friday, March 7, 2008, in Christus St. Michael Health System in Texarkana, Texas.

He was born on June 3, 1921, in Ithaca, New York to Howard Webster and Mary A. Dorn Bennett. He was a graduate of Cornell University with a B.S. in Agriculture. He was a retired poultry farmer. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Hope. He was a former active member of The Grange in New York.

His survivors include his wife of 37 years, Louise Williams Bennett of Hope; two sons, Russell Crane Russ Bennett of Lewisville and Dale Webster Bennett of Englewood, Colo.; one sister, Doris Marie Hill of Anaheim, Calif.; two grandson, Paul Bennett and Pam of Patmos and Jon Bennett and Patty of Lewisville; two great-grandsons, Caleb Bennett of Lewisville and Joshua Bennett of Patmos.

The funeral service was at 2 p.m., Monday, March 10, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home of Hope, with Dr. Tandy Hanson officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Arrangements were by Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home of Hope.

The family received friends Sunday, March 9, from 4-6 p.m. at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home of Hope.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 400, Hope, AR 71802.
