Denton Lee Hawley

Denton Lee Hawley, 89, of Prescott died Tuesday, February 23, 1999, in Hope.

Mr. Hawley was born August 29, 1909, to James Taylor Hawley and Viola Harris Hawley in Tennessee. He was a contractor, in civil service. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Hawley was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Gladys Grace Johnson Hawley of Prescott; one brother, Frank Hawley of Longview, Texas, one sister, Hazel Carter of Longview, Texas; two nephews, Jerry Hawley and Roy Hawley; one niece, Sandi Martin; two great nephews, Wade and Michael Hawley; and one great niece, Lindsey Marien.

Funeral service were Thursday, February 25, at the Prescott Church of Christ with Bro. Gene Cloer officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery under the direction of Shackelford Funeral Home of Prescott.
