Olen KelleyPublished Wednesday, February 27, 2008 in the Nevada County PicayuneMr. Olen Kelley, 87, of Bluff City, died Thursdy, Feb. 21, 2008, at his home. He was born on Oct. 20, in Nevada County, to John DeLois and Leona Kelley. He was a self-employed carpenter. He was a member of the Boughton Baptist Church in Boughton. He was an Army veteran and participated in the Battle of the Bulge. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Larue Smith Kelley; his second wife, Helen McBride Cox Kelley; one son, Johnny Carol Kelley; one daughter, Brenda Brown Epperson; his brother, J.D. Kelley; and one grandson, Johnny Carol Kelley. His survivors include one step son, Scotty Cox and Gilda of Prescott; one step daughter, Kay Nelson and James of Bluff City; one brother, James Arlis Kelley of Port Arthur, Texas; three grandchildren; four step grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and eight step great-grandchildren. The funeral service was at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 23, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel of Prescott, with Rev. Neal Ridling officiating. The burial was in Piney Grove Cemetery in Boughton. Arrangements were by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott. The family received friends Friday, Feb. 22, from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.
