Missionary Tessie Scott brought the morning message. She really did good. Missionary Tessie Scott will be the guest speaker at Cana AME Church the third Sunday in March at the Women's Day program. Rev. L. Banks is the pastor. Mrs. Gloria Young had surgery last week. She came home Saturday. She is doing fine. She is our pianist at church and we missed her Sunday. Walter 'Sam' Witcher was buried Friday. He was down a long time. His wife really did stick with him. He drove the school bus for Oak Grove District for a number of years. Mrs. Vera Purifoy visited George Friday. She visits the sick people often. She is the missionary president at Oak Grove Baptist Church where Rev. Bobby Young is the pastor. She is not well herself. She wears a heart monitor. Sis. Girtie B. Blake went to Texarkana for her back. She says it is doing her good to go to the doctor. She finds time to visit the sick people, too. She went to Camden Nursing Home Sunday to see her neighbor, Mrs. Maudie Jackson. Mrs. Jackson fell and broke her arm. Sis.
