Wallace McBridePublished Wednesday, February 6, 2008 in the Nevada County PicayuneWallace D. McBride, 87, of Prescott, died Jan. 29, 2008, at Medical Park Hospital in Hope. He was born Oct. 23, 1920, in Cale to Amos and Lois Wood McBride. He was a retired auto dealer and a member of First Baptist Church in Prescott. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Dale McBride; and his first wife of 51 years, Dorothy Burkett McBride. His survivors include his loving wife of 11 years, Retta Rhodes McBride; one stepdaughter, Janette Hammond and Jim; one stepson, Larry Rhodes and Nancy; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Appel and Betty McBride; four nieces, Kathy Barham and Zane, Joan Alexander and Gary, Nada Corley and Henry, and Linda Howell and Mike; two nephews, Howard and Robert Cummings; four grandchildren; and many other family members and friends. Visitation was Thursday, Jan. 31, from 6-8 p.m. at Pharr Funeral Home in Prescott. The funeral service was Friday, Feb. 1, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Prescott. The interment was in Caney Cemetery under the direction of Pharr Funeral Home of Prescott. The online register is available at www.pharrfhprescott.com.
