Hazel Jones

Hazel L. Baber Jones, 91, of Prescott, died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2008, at Hillcrest Nursing and Rehab in Prescott.

She was born on March 31, 1916, in Okolona, to Thomas and Dilla Wilson Baber. She was retired manager of the former Rephans Department Store in Prescott. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Prescott, a member of Eastern Star and of the Business and Professional Womens Club of Prescott.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Milburn Jones and two brothers, Harold and Douglas Baber.

Her survivors include four sons, Tommy Jones of North Little Rock, Danny Jones of Prescott, Jim Jones of San Francisco, and Mike Jones of Benton; one daughter, Jeanne Haynie of Prescott; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The funeral service was at 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 27, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel of Prescott, with Rev. Jerry G. Westmoreland officiating. The burial was in DeAnn Cemetery in Prescott. Arrangements were by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.

The family received friends Saturday, Jan. 26, from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.
