Nora Lee NicholsPublished Wednesday, January 23, 2008 in the Nevada County PicayuneMrs. Nora Lee Nichols died at her home in Bodcaw on Sunday, Jan. 20, 2008, after a lengthy illness. She was born at Bodcaw on April 20, 1932. She was a retired, dedicated employee of Pinehope Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Ruby Rayborn, and her brother, Denzil Rayborn. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Walter Lee Nichols; two daughters, Joyce Hicks and Loyce Dryer of Bodcaw; one son, Ferralon Nichols of Hope; one sister, Denver Glass of Magnolia; four grandchildren, Russell Glass of Prescott, Tracy Hicks of Bodcaw, Keith Jones of Bodcaw and Pamela Jenkins of Benton, nine great-grandchildren; six stepgranchildren; and seven stepgreat-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Jan. 23, at 2 p.m. at Union Baptist Church in Bodcaw with the Rev. Joe Brown and the Rev. Jerry Evans officiating. Burial will follow in DeAnn cemetery under the direction of Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott. The family received friends Tuesday, Jan. 22, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
