Bill AllenPublished Wednesday, January 16, 2008 in the Gurdon TimesBill Allen, age 69, of Gurdon died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2008. He was a retired produce manager for Taylor Grocery, a member of First Baptist Church of Gurdon and a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Wanda (Robbs) Allen, of Gurdon; three daughters, Anita (Bill) Thornton of North Little Rock, Debbie Daniels of Bismarck Kay Waite of Crocker , Mo.; a brother, Charles (Buddy) Allen of Gurdon; two sisters, Pat Talley of Gurdon and Linda McCree of North Little Rock; and 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Services were Saturday, Jan. 12, at 2 p.m. in the First Baptist Church with interment in Center Ridge Cemetery by Horne Funeral Home. Visitation was Friday, Jan. 11 between 6 and 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The online guestbook can be signed at www.hornefuneralhome.net.
