Benjamin Hamilton

Benjamin David Hamilton centered his life around family, friends, and his Bible. He was a kind, devoted, and giving husband, dad, and son. He had a special way of showing his love.

He was born Aug. 3, 1972, in Bladwin Park, Calif. to the late Benjamin Grant Hamilton and Anna Hamilton-Fontana-Schmelzer. The loving spirit of our beloved went home to join his Savior on Jan. 11, 2008.

Left to celebrate his life on this earth are his mother, Anna Schmelzer of Prescott; his wife Denese Hamilton of Georgia; daughters, Lakeisha and Jaleesa of Georgia; son, Rontarious Hamilton of Dallas, Texas; step-sons, Mark and Quinton Harris of Hope; one grandmother, Mary Schmelzer and the late David of Madison, Wis.; his sisters, LaDonna Hamilton-Stueart of Prescott, LaShelle Hamilton of Bartlett, Tenn., and LaToya Hamilton of Hot Springs; one aunt, Freddie Mae Hamilton of Prescott; uncles, John Schmelzer and Maggie of Oregon, Wis., Michael Schmelzer of Universal City, Texas, and Gary Schmelzer and Connie of Oregon, Wis.; nieces and nephews, Joseph Stueart, Luther Stueart, Alex Hamilton, Daloris Stueart, and NaShea Goetzendanner, and one great-nephew, Darius Stueart; and a host of cousins and friends.

There will be a memorial service Saturday, Jan. 19 at 11 a.m. at the Cothran Chapel Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, 422 Greenlawn St., Prescott.
