Mrs. Anna May Scott Langston, 82, of Prescott, died Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2008, in Medical Park Hospital in Hope.

She was born the youngest of four children, on March 13, 1925, in Hope to Will and Lula May McGill Scott. She was a housewife and mother. She was a member of Ward Chapel AME Church. At an early age she professed her love for Christ and united with Ward Chapel AME Church where she served as a member of the Stewardess Board #1, member of the choir and team leader for Class #1. She was a faithful member until her failing health prevented her from actively participating

Her parents and two sisters preceded her in death.

Her survivors include her beloved husband of 63 years, Elued Langston Jr. of Prescott; two sons, Herbert Langston of Prescott and Gerald Langston of Little Rock; two daughters, Constance Langston of Little Rock and Sandra Neasley and Allen of Little Rock; one sister, Martha Lee Hale of Hephzibah, Ga.; four grandchildren, Sean (Taniesha) Alicia, Adenika, and Tanisha Langston of Little Rock; special friends, Stella Vanhook, Oree Simmons, Perine Franklin, Allowese Langston, and Ernestine Pondexter.

The funeral service was at 11 a.m., Monday, Jan. 14, at Ward Chapel AME Church in Prescott, with Rev. Arthur Coulton officiating. The burial was in DeAnn Cemetery in Prescott. Arrangements were by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.
