Prescott Elementary Donates School Supplies To BeebePublished Wednesday, March 3, 1999 in the Nevada County PicayuneSeveral weeks ago a tornado went through Beebe, destroying and damaging the buildings of the elementary school. The loss was almost overwhelming. In thinking of others, and the Beebe School in particular, members of the Prescott Elementary School staff talked about what could be done. They decided to send school supplies-teachers would send teacher supplies, students items for other students. Prescott Elementary students donated paper, pencils, glue, paper towels and other school supplies. The outpouring of supples has been tremendous-for students and teachers, according to school officials. Boxes of paper towels, crayons, glue, paper, scissors, pencils, tablets, Kleenex, soap, books and other school supples have been packed and are ready to be delivered to the Beebe School Friday, March 5. Mugs for the teachers, filled with sticky notes, chalk, tape, pens, markers and other small useful items will be sent. Four staff members and a truckload of supplies will be traveling to Beebe Friday to deliver the supples that have accumulated out of caring and compassion for others. If you would like to send any supplies, drop them off at the Prescott Elementary School before Friday. Search | Nevada County Picayune by date | Gurdon Times by date |
