Recent filings in the Nevada County Circuit Clerks Office include charges for sexual assault, commercial burglary and drug possession.

Ricky Joe Woodberry Jr., 19, 1202 W. Main, was arrested Oct. 31 after a victim reportedly identified him as the man who had raped her. According to court records, officers from the Prescott Police department saw Woodberry as he entered a local convenience store. He matched the description given earlier by a woman who had reported a rape. The woman was taken to the store where she reportedly identified Woodberry as her attacker.

Woodberry was subsequently arrested and it was discovered that he had shoplifted from the store before his arrest. He was also in possession of marijuana, prompting a possession charge as well.

In an unrelated case, Antonio DeShawn Flemons, 31, no address available, was arrested after the mother of a 14-year-old girl complained of an ongoing sexual relationship between Flemons and the girl.

Jamm Micahel Smith, 18, 34 Woodall Trail, Glenwood, Patrick William Epstein, 2031 Highway 70 E., Glenwood, and Jeremiah Nathaniel Johnson, 216 W. 15th St., Hope, were each charged with commercial burglary and theft of property after allegedly breaking into the Eagles Nest at Emmet. Both were charged for possession of drug paraphernalia and Todd was charged with possession of methamphetamine. Both have been charged as habitual offenders.
