Unique display offers more than just lightsBy Jeremy LangleyPublished Wednesday, December 12, 2007 in the Gurdon Times Christmas lights have been taken to the next level at a house in Gurdon, giving those viewing the lights a little music as well without leaving ones vehicle. The listen to the lights show has been constructed at the home of Richard and Sandra Roberson, 1544 Red Springs Road. Accoding to the Robersons, there are more than 30,000 miniature lights synchronized to 17 Christmas songs and instrumentals. The show is run by a computer and broadcast over a low power FM transmitter on frequency 92.1. Having the music go over the transmitter allows those passing through to hear the music from the comfort of their vehicle. The show takes place from about 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday nights. The Robersons said off road parking is encouraged in our driveway for safety reasons. The Gurdon Times has received numerous calls about the uniue display over the past week, and all of the callers have been impressed with what theyve seen. The Robersons hope residents of Gurdon and the surrounding community will come by to view the lights and share in their holiday cheer. There are numerous other Christmas light displays around town in residential and commercial areas. The City of Gurdon is once again on the Arkansas Holiday Trail of Lights.
