Rufus HicksPublished Wednesday, December 12, 2007 in the Nevada County PicayuneRufus Hicks age 80 of Prescott died Saturday, December 8, 2007. Mr. Hicks was a former County Clerk for Nevada County, he also taught school in Prescott and Laneburg for a number of years. He was a Veteran of the US Army and attended the Laneburg Baptist Church. Survivors include one son, Ronald (Deborah) Hicks of McCalla, Ala.; four brothers, Lonnie Hicks of Camden; Charles Hicks of Caney; Dewey Hicks and Glen Hicks both of West Memphis; two sisters, Vinita Rodgers of West Memphis and Beth Hicks of Fla.; and three grandchildren, Melisa, Lindsey and Jeffrey. Preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Loe Hicks. The funeral services were Tuesday, Dec. 11 at 2:00pm in Central Baptist Church with interment in Mt.
