Ruth PettitPublished Wednesday, December 5, 2007 in the Nevada County PicayuneMinnie Ruth Pettit, 64, lost her battle with cancer on Nov. 25, 2007, in Homer, LA hospital. She was the wife of Charles O. Pettit and a native of Reader. She was a woman who loved all. She is survived by three daughters; one son; one step-daughter; numerous grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and step-son, Charles A. Pettit. The family will receive friends at the home of Jimmy Pettit in Reader from 12-2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 8. Condolences may be sent online to bands@aircanopy.net. Memorials maybe made to Charles O. Pettit or First Guaranty Bank care of Charles O. Pettit Homer, Louisiana proceeding medical expenses.
