Jack PeacheyPublished Wednesday, December 5, 2007 in the Nevada County PicayuneMr. Jack Thomas Peachey, 71, of Charleston, S. C., formerly of Prescott, died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2007, in St. Francis Hospital in Charleston, S. C. He was born on Jan. 13, 1936, in Magnolia, to Albert and Karen Barham Peachey. He was retired from the U.S. Navy with 22 years of service. He also retired from Ralph H. Johnson Veterans Medical Center. He was a member of the Rutledge Memorial Baptist Church, Mariner Masonic Lodge, Loyalty Chapter of OES, former member of several bowling leagues in Charleston, and a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War. His survivors include his wife, Jean Tuten Peachey of Charleston, S. C.; one son, John Basil Peachey and Cindy of Lexington, S. C.; one brother, William N. Peachey of Potomac, Md.; and two grandchildren, Alex Peachey and Megan Peachey of Lexington, S. C. The grave side service was at 3 p.m., Friday, Nov. 30, at DeAnn Cemetery in Prescott, with Mr. Paul Robison officiating. The burial followed. Arrangements were by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to River Springs Church, 1007 W.
