Otis Joe Wilson

Mr. Otis L. Joe Wilson, 86, of McCaskill, died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2007, in Howard Memorial Hospital in Nashville.

He was born in Nashville, on July 28, 1921, to J. G. and Thelma Brock Wilson. He was a retired bus driver for the city of Los Angeles, Calif., with 35 years. He was a member of the Pleasant Springs Baptist Church in McCaskill, an Army veteran of WWII, and he loved to play golf.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia White Wilson; one son, Larry Joe Wilson; one brother, Hollis Wilson; and one sister, Juanita Leggittee.

His survivors include one brother, Jerry Wilson and Lucie of McCaskill; threes sisters, Bernice Fulton of Blevins, Louise Glass and Norman and Imogene Strawn, both of Conroe, Texas; one sister-in-law, Bernice Wilson of Houston, Texas; three grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

The funeral service was at 2 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 29, at Pleasant Springs Baptist Church in McCaskill, with Rev. Roger Arnold officiating. The burial was in Friendship Cemetery in McCaskill. Arrangements were by Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope.

The family received friends on Wednesday, Nov. 28, from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope.
