Published Wednesday, March 3, 1999 in the Nevada County PicayuneDERMOTT 55 Dermott's Lady Rams were Prescott's second victim in the tourney semifinals Friday night, as they were felled 66-55. The Wolverettes fired up their grill early and started barbecuing the Lady Rams in the first eight minutes as they raced to a 20-9 lead. Dermott's situation didn't improve any in the second quarter, as Prescott continued pulling away, outscoring the Lady Rams 14-10 to take a 34-19lead to the locker room at the break. Period three was pretty much more of the same as the Wolverettes continued their domination of the tourney. The quarter ended with Prescott up 48-34. The Wolverettes were 16 of 22 at the line, while Dermott converted five of 15 free throws. Stockton again was the game's high scorer with 30, including one three and a 14 for 16 performance at the line. Graham followed with 13 points, while Cossey nailed a trio of threes for nine.
