Ray TaylorPublished Wednesday, October 31, 2007 in the Nevada County PicayuneMr. Ray Taylor, 72, of Prescott, died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2007, in Medical Park Hospital in Hope. He was born on July 1, 1953, in Antoine, to Fred and Flossie Hendrix Taylor. He was a retired plumber. He was a member of Emmet United Methodist Church in Emmet, where he served as an usher and a member of the finance committee, a mason, member of the Prescott Lodge, Army National Guard member, and member of the Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Union. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Hazel Graham and Sue Childers Loe. His survivors include his wife of 20 years, Vickie Taylor of Prescott; one son, Quinn Taylor of Los Angeles, Calif.; one daughter, Christi Hays and Jerry of Duluth, Ga.; his mother, Flossie Hendrix Taylor Childers of Prescott; two brothers, Howard Taylor of Prescott and Glenn Childers of Blevins; one sister, JoAnn McKinnon of Prescott; and three grandchildren, Zach, Claire, and Aaron Hays, all of Duluth, Ga. The funeral service was at 10 a.m., Sat., Oct. 27, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott, with Rev. Jerry G. Westmoreland officiating. Burial was in Antoine Cemetery in Antoine. Arrangements were by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott. The family received friends Friday, Oct. 26, from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
