Amy WickerPublished Wednesday, October 3, 2007 in the Nevada County PicayuneAmy Lee Elizabeth Wicker, 78, of Benton, died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2007. She was born on April 8, 1929, at Boughton, to the late Noel and Florence Love Elmore. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and had worked in the mill room at Jones Furniture. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ottis Wicker; two brothers, Charles Eugene Elmore and Thomas W. Elmore. Survivors include one son, Melvin Wicker and wife, Ada Louise of Sardis; one daughter, Helen Wicker of Benton; two brothers, H. Rudolph Elmore of Burkburnett, Texas, and Arel Dean Elmore of Cabot; one sister, Iris Charlene Wicker of Prescott; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. The grave side service was at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, in Caney at Morris Baptist Church Cemetery near Prescott, with Bishop Rob Glasgow and Bro. Mike Steed officiating. Visitations were held from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 26, at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home and prior to the service, from 12-1 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 27 at Morris Baptist Church near Prescott. Serving as pall bearers were Chad Suitor, Ryan Suitor, Donnie Steele, Steve Reedy, Jim Ammons and Paul Hicks. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 901 N.
