Flora PenningtonPublished Wednesday, October 3, 2007 in the Gurdon TimesFlora Irene Knoblock Pennington age 66 of Gurdon died Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at her home. She was born February 24, 1941 in Monticello to James Moody and Annie Mary Mayers Knoblock. Irene graduated from Drew Central and attended UAM. She married Charles Junior Pennington on October 6, 1960. She was an owner of C.I & E. Logging. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be remembered for her kindness and compassion to anyone in need. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and five brothers; Lewis, William, Dewey, James and Franklin Knoblock. She leaves to cherish her memory; three sons, Stephen, Joey and Mitch Pennington all of Gurdon, step-daughter, Crystal Holmes and husband, Butch of Lumberton, TX; special son, Eddie Uchtman, grandchildren; Kelli, Presley and Gunner Pennington; step-grandchildren, Jake and Katie Holmes; brother, Leon Buddy Knoblock of Monticello; sisters, Lucille Ice of Poplar Bluff, MO, Ethel Mae Lindsey of Little Rock and Charlsie Evans of Monticello and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services are Thursday, Sept. 27 at 10 a.m. in Horne Funeral Home in Gurdon. Graveside services will be at Green Hill Cemetery near Monticello at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial to the Arkansas Childrens Hospital at: ACH Foundation P.O.
