Jimmy JohnsonPublished Wednesday, September 19, 2007 in the Nevada County PicayuneJimmy Don Johnson, 60, of Brownsboro, Texas, died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2007, in Tyler, Texas. He was born Dec. 23, 1946, in Prescott, to Herman Johnson and Gracie McDade Johnson. He was a landscaper and a member and deacon at New Life Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and two daughters, Donna Welch and Jannie Valdez, both of Brownsboro, Texas. Survivors include his wife, Jo Johnson of Brownsboro; one son, Vernie Johnson of Brownsboro; one daughter, Jonie Finkenbider and husband David of Dallas, Texas; two brothers, Billy W. Johnson and wife Mary and Larry Johnson and wife Kathy, all of Laneburg; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and a host of friends. Funeral services were Saturday, Sept. 15, at 1:30 p.m. at the Chandler Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Chandler, Texas.
