Elizabeth Bozman

Mrs. Elizabeth Zachary Bozman, died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2007, in the Prescott Manor Nursing Home.

She was born in Nevada County to Dock Emery and Mary Christopher Zachary on December 30, 1911. She grew up and received her education in the public schools in the Laneburg community. Mrs. Bozman was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Theodore Bozman on Oct. 17, 1933.

She became a member of St. Luke AME Church at an early age. She later joined Ward Chapel AME Church where she was a faithful member of the Ward Chapel AME Choir and member of the WMS and Stewardess Board #2. Mrs. Bozman loved singing and traveling with the choir even after her health failed.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Theodore Bozman; her parents; and two sons, Robert and Leotis Bozman; four brothers and two sisters.

Her survivors include one son, James Bozman and Carolyn of Jacksonville; four daughters, Mae Ruth Bozman, Kattie Box and Ray, and Margaret Meeks, all of Prescott, and Bobbie Foreman of Dallas; one sister-in-law, Bertha Zachary of Rockford, Ill.; two god-daughters, Ruthie Cone and Mary Jean Colbert; two god-sons, Rondurious Cone and William Colbert, all of Prescott; ten grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; and twenty great-great-grandchildren; three special friends, Geraldine Jefferson, Julie Oliver and Gay Clark; and a host of nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends.
