Susie Smith

Susie Smith, age 67, of Gurdon, passed from this life on Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at her home. She was born on February 28, 1940, the daughter of Carl and Juanita West Lewis. Sue was a homemaker, an x-ray technician and a member of Trinity Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant daughter.

Sue is survived by her husband, Boyd Leon Smith of Gurdon, three sons, Russell Smith of Gurdon, Curtis Smith of Spartanburg, SC, and David Ted Smith of Hot Springs, three brothers, Carl Lewis, Jr. of Searcy and Larry and Garry Lewis, both of Washington, and six grandchildren, Jamie Smith, Alye King, Alex Smith, Zack Smith, Rachel Smith and Conner Smith.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 17, 2007 at Welch Funeral Home in Arkadelphia with Rev. Ron Grigsby officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until service time.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Arkansas Sheriffs Youth Ranch, P. O. Box 3964, Batesville, AR 72503-3964.
