Jack CookPublished Wednesday, August 22, 2007 in the Nevada County PicayuneMr. Jack Lee Cook, 49, of Emmet, died Monday, Aug. 13, 2007, at his home. He was born in Santa Paula, Calif., on Feb. 28, 1958, to James Dee and Diane Stuart Cook. He was a carpenter/construction worker. He was a member of Emmet United Methodist Church in Emmet. He was preceded in death by his father, James Dee Cook. His survivors include his wife, Shawna VonDene Cook of Emmet; two daughters, Jannel Cook of Emmet and Kindra Cook of South Carolina; his mother, Diane Stuart Nelson of Copperas Cove, Texas; three sisters, Debbie Cook of Emmet, Cindy Heileson of Copperas Cove, Texas, and Tammy Matthews and Mike of Claremore, Okla.; his father-in-law, Robert Villiard and Linda of Kansas City, Mo.; his mother-in-law, Kathleen Tyra and Lloyd of Emmet; two grandchildren; 10 nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. Memorial services were at 4 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 18, at Emmet United Methodist Church in Emmet, with Rev. Jerry G. Westmoreland officiating.
