The Prescott Police Department, in cooperation with the South Central Drug Task Force, have arrested four local men in connection with drug activity.

Jeremy Jackson, 26, Westacre Terrace #19, Anthony Ingram, 35, 12 Harvey St., Camden, James Easter, 30, 224 W. Third St., and Terry Williams, 22, 359 W. Warren were all arrested Aug. 15. With the exception of Williams, all were arrested at local residences.

According to PPD Assistant Chief Ann Jordan and PPD Detective David Thomason, Jackson, Ingram and Easter were arrested as part of a continuing operation involving controlled drug buys locally. Easter and Ingram were each charged with three counts of delivery of a controlled substance - crack cocaine. Jackson was charged with two counts of the same offense.

Williams was charged with two counts of delivery of a marijuana. Thomason said that Williams had heard local police were looking for him and he went to the PPD station where he was arrested.

Jordan said the arrests are an effort to deter drug sales locally and said the stings will continue.

Were going to continue, she said. Were going to continue to pick people up for it as long as they continue to sell.

Thomason said there have been more than two dozen arrests to date.
