Sunday, September 26, at 3:00 p.m. St. Clair Baptist Church in Burtsell will have its annual home coming. Everyone and all churches are welcome. Special guests Shady Grove Baptist Church, Beirne; First Baptist, Okolona; Sweet Home, Prescott; Union Grove, Bluff City; and Harrison Chapel and Pleasant Grove Baptist Churches of Okolona and Delight. Sunday, October 3, at 3:00 p.m. will be annual youth day at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Hamburg. Every one is welcome. Special guests New Mt. Zion Baptist Church youth of Gurdon. Rev. Quintin Radford, pastor and speaker.

Revival services are in progress this week at Lonoke Baptist Church in Hope. Evangelist for the week is Rev. Kerry Newborn of Rockford, Ill. He is the son of Mrs. Josie Newborn of Mt. Morriah. Everyone and all churches invited. Rev. Alvin Hunter, pastor.

Revival services will be held October 4-8 at 7:00 p.m. at New Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Gurdon. Evangelist for the week will be Rev. Jessie Radford Jr. of Rising Star Baptist Church in Hope. Everyone and all churches are welcome. Rev. Quintin Radford, pastor.

Southwest District Section One WMU presents a festival of hats this Saturday, September 25, at Mt. Canaan Baptist Church in Gurdon at 6:30 p.m. Rev. Johnny Harris, pastor, and Ethel Harris, president.

Late happy birthdays to Hazle Welch of Gurdon, September 9; Laura Grigsby of Burtsell, September 8; and Dianne Hatley of Gurdon, September 7.

Rev. and Mrs. Quintin Radford, Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Hatley, Mrs. Karen Harper of Gurdon and Mrs. Erma Burford of Burtsell will be the special guests in Portland, Ore., this weekend. Rev. Quintin Radford will be the guest speaker. They are the special guests of Mrs. Clara Lee.

Mrs. Eula F. Quarles of Gurdon and Mrs. Ruby Allen of Curtis have returned home after attending the retirement celebration of their brother. Mrs. Henry C. Hawthorne spent last weekend in California with relatives of different states and cities attending. It was an enjoyable occasion.

Evangelist Mable Gardner of California is here visiting her father Leodis Johnny' Lyons; sisters, Belinda Gentry and son and Mrs. Paguttia Hill and daughters; her son, Manix Gardner; her granddaughter; and other relatives and friends from Gurdon and surrounding areas.
