Billy Morris

Mr. Billy Morris, 75, of Hope, formerly of Prescott, died Friday, July 2, 2007, in the special care of Hillcrest Care and Rehab.

He was born on Sept. 19, 1931, in Prescott, to Isac and Mattie Neal Morris. He was retired from Ford Motor Co. and Prescott Public Schools as a bus driver. He was a member and deacon of Central Baptist Church in Prescott.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Gilbert Franklin Morris and Pete Morris; four sisters, Margarett Macklefresh, Sally Garrett, Maria Prosser, and Lila Cook; and parents-in-law, Clent Haynes and Ada Mae Haynes.

His survivors include his wife of almost 58 years, Betty Haynes Morris of Hope; three daughters, Kay Ross and Phil of Hope, Debbie McDaniel and Danny of Gurdon and and Karissa Morris of Coffeeeville, Kans.; four grandchildren, Trina Case and John of Emmet, Trisha Kelley and Danny of Prescott, Jennifer Mowery and Shane of Hope, and Haleigh McDaniel and Joe of Gurdon; two great-grandsons, Joshua Craig and Aaron Case, both of Emmet; four brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Vernon Haynes and Frances and Donnie Haynes and Bonnie, all of Prescott, Eddie Haynes and Shirley of Texarkana, and Jerry Haynes and Vikie of Rockwall, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews and too many friends and loved ones to list.

The funeral service was at 2 p.m., Monday, July, 30, at Central Baptist Church, with Revs. Perry Johnson and James Cox officiating. The burial was in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Prescott. Arrangements were by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.

The family received friends Sunday, July 29, from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
