Johnnie T. Loe

Johnnie T. Loe, 87, of Magnolia, died Monday, July 24, 2007, at the Beverly Living Center in Magnolia.

He was born Dec. 28, 1919, in Bodcaw. He was a retired carpenter and farmer, an army veteran of World War I; a member of the Corinth Church and a member of the Bodcaw Deer Club.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Opal Loe in 2001; son, Paul Loe in 2000; and a grandson, Tim Cook in 1999.

His survivors include one son, Jimmie W. Loe of Magnolia; four daughters and sons-in-law, Maxine and J.D. Miller, Zelma Hudgens, Lucille and Gearry Cheatham, and Bobbie Jean and Jimm Kitchens; thirteen grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; eleven stepgreat-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one stepgreat great-grandchild.

The funeral service was at 2 p.m. Friday, July 27, at the Corinth Baptist Church at Bodcaw, with Revs. Billy Russell and Ed Phillips officiating, with burial in Corinth Cemetery, under the direction of Smith Funeral Home in Stamps.

Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, at Bailey Funeral Home in Magnolia.

Pall bearers were Pete Ward, David Porter, Grover Lowe, A.D. Lowe, Judge Hanson, Robby Kitchens, Shelby Shackleford and Jackie May.
